Suranne Jones
Sarah Anne Jones, better known as Suranne Jones, is an actress and producer from England. She has garnered fame for acting as Ruth Slater in the miniseries "Unforgiven," as Detective Rachel Bailey in the police procedural drama 'Scott & Bailey as well as the GP Gemma Foster in the medical drama 'Doctor Foster'. Jones is a Greater Manchester native who joined Oldham Theatre Workshop to receive her BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts. She began performing on stage as a child at eight years young, playing Gloria in a production of 'Wait Until Dark'. In 1997 she made her acting debut on television in a 'Coronation Street episode'. In 2000 she played Karen McDonald in the series. After her departure from ITV's soap opera she played various characters in television shows such as 'Vincent" and 'Strictly Confessional", and Harley Street. On the big screen she's appeared in films such as "Love and a Longshot", 'Broken Hearts' and 'A Christmas Star'.
